Our mission at UWE

Bismillahirahman Alraheem:

We as students know the trials and tribulations a Muslim may be faced with in University. Many of times being away from our close families, and being put in a strange environment for a considerable amount of time may be difficult on the student, especially those wishing to establish their Islamic duties. Our mission is thus the following:

1) To satisfy the needs of Muslim students, be they male or female and from whatever backgroud,
((Allah has made us into nations and tribes so that we may know one another. These needs include religious duties such as Salah (prayer), Friday prayer, fasting and keeping good companionship among other essential requirements.

And to provide for the Muslim access to Islamic knowledge and halal food.))

2) To give the Muslims a platform for propagating and raising awareness about the pure message of Islam as delivered by the final Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to their fellow Muslims and non Muslims alike.

((Clearing misconceptions about Islam is a must, due to the endless misrepresentation of Islam in contemporary media. People who learn Islam from the media will be taken by a pleasant surprise when they hear the real beauty of Islam from the heart of a welcoming Muslim student.))

3) To arrange inspiring and exciting events, educational, charitable, pleasurable and communal,
((Including room for such events will help maintain the Muslims zeal and enthusiasm to do good for this world and the next. We want to create a comfortable environment for you and for all who wish to learn and keep close ties with their brothers and sisters.))

4) To exchange knowledge and to teach one another, while providing a platform for the people of knowledge to teach staff and students the fundamentals of their religion so that good religious practice is maintained and Islam is practiced correctly.
